There’s something magical about senior sessions in the mountains, and Aliyah’s session in the beautiful Jemez Mountains was no exception. Surrounded by towering pines, peaceful streams, wildflower-filled meadows, and golden mountain light, her session perfectly captured this exciting season of life before graduation.

As an Albuquerque senior photographer, I love helping seniors choose locations that reflect their personality, and the Jemez Mountains provided the perfect backdrop for Aliyah’s portraits. From the lush green forests to the open mountain meadows, every stop gave us a completely different look while still showcasing the natural beauty New Mexico is known for.

I met this beautiful couple years ago when I captured their daughter’s maternity photos, and have been blessed to capture their photos multiple times since. I was stoked when they asked me to come to Hawaii with them to capture their wedding day! This family has a special place in my heart!

I absolutely love this location. It does consist of a 30 minute hike, but it is so pretty!

When we planned this session we didn’t plan for snow. It had been a few weeks since it last snowed, and even then we didn’t get much snow in town. Apparently, the mountains got lots of it, because there was so much snow. Snow + Aspens are so dreamy!

It was about 5-10 degrees up there, but Zuleyka rocked these dresses for her session!
