Not only did we capture this stunning maternity session, but Chelsea also chose to book my First Year Collective, allowing me to document her daughter’s milestones throughout her entire first year. From newborn snuggles to sitter smiles and her first birthday celebration, I’ll have the honor of preserving every chapter of this exciting journey.

For her maternity session, we explored one of New Mexico’s beautiful outdoor locations, featuring breathtaking mountain views, desert landscapes, and a historic stone structure that added so much character and texture to her gallery. The golden sunset gave us the most incredible light, creating the warm, glowing images every expecting mother dreams of.

Chelsea selected three gorgeous looks for her session. The first two were soft, flowing gowns that highlighted the beauty of motherhood while perfectly complementing the natural tones of the landscape. The second was a fitted black dress that created a timeless, elegant look and beautifully showcased her growing baby bump. Having multiple outfit options allowed us to create a gallery with a variety of looks while maintaining a cohesive style.

One of my favorite parts of this session was capturing the connection between Chelsea and her partner as they prepare to welcome their daughter. These moments are about so much more than documenting a pregnancy. They’re about preserving the anticipation, excitement, and love that fills this season of life.

There’s something timeless about a newborn session that celebrates the sweetness of a brand-new baby girl, and Abigail’s session was nothing short of magical. Abigail was an absolute dream during her newborn session. She slept peacefully through setup after setup, allowing us to create a gallery full of elegant, princess inspired portraits that her family will cherish for years to come.

For Abigail’s individual portraits, we incorporated soft pinks, floral accents, and whimsical props that perfectly complemented her delicate features. One of the highlights of her session was the enchanting carriage setup, creating a fairytale feel that looked fit for a little princess. We also used a crescent moon prop and beautiful floral backdrops to add variety while keeping the gallery cohesive and timeless.

While newborn portraits are always special, family images often become the most treasured photographs over time. Abigail’s parents and big sister joined the session, creating heartfelt images that showcase the love and excitement surrounding the newest member of their family.

Watching big sister cuddle and admire her baby sister was one of the sweetest moments of the day. These sibling portraits beautifully captured the beginning of a lifelong bond and are sure to become family favorites.

We also created stunning parent portraits that highlighted the joy and pride that come with welcoming a new baby. These moments are just as important as the newborn portraits themselves and help tell the complete story of this season in life.

Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 14 days after birth when babies are still extra sleepy and curly. Because I limit the number of newborns I photograph each month, I recommend reserving your session during your second trimester to guarantee availability when your baby is born.
