This beautiful maternity session took place in the breathtaking Jemez Mountains — one of my favorite locations near Albuquerque, New Mexico. I’ve had the honor of photographing this sweet family for years, and it’s always such a compliment when clients return to me as their family grows. This time, they’re preparing to welcome their second child, and the love and excitement between them was so special to capture.

I’ve had the pleasure of capturing photos for Chelsea and her family several times. I was thrilled when she asked me to capture her maternity photos for her third son.

The Albuquerque Foothills are one of my favorite places for maternity photos. With the Sandia Mountains glowing in the background and soft desert tones all around, this location perfectly captures the beauty of New Mexico.

My client wore gowns from my client closet, which includes over 200 dresses in different styles and sizes (S–XXL). Each piece is carefully chosen to flatter every mama and complement the earthy colors of the desert landscape.

There aren’t even enough words to describe how cute this family was. This session just speaks for itself. Demertria was an absolute goddess. She was radiant and glowing this entire session. The soft pastel color dress that she chose for her and her girls was the perfect palette. I also love that you can just feel how excited her kids are to add another sibling to the mix!

That sweet tiny pink baby smell, those warm little snuggles, the tiny toes, the way they stretch real slow, and sleep so peacefully. Newborns are so perfectly small - for just a little while. Every new day, they get a little bit bigger and a little bit stronger. One of my favorite things about photographing newborns is creating stunning pieces of art through sets that really capture that sweet tiny baby-ness before it’s gone. Before you know it, you blink, and they’re toddlers climbing everything they can and asking for more snacks.

This sweet family welcomed their newest addition and I absolutely loved capturing their love as a new family of four. Baby Thomas was so sweet and squishy, but just look at his momma! She absolutely stunned in this dress and the colors were all so perfect together.
